About Aliyah O'Brien

Multi-talented and multi-faceted alluring beauty Aliyah O'Brien is in demand more than ever as an actress, flying between Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles for work. Not prepared to slow down anytime soon, Aliyah can be seen recurring in the new Syfy series 'Ascension', airing December 15th on Syfy and in her recurring guest star role on 'Rookie Blue' which airs on Global in Canada and on ABC in the US.

2014 has been an extremely busy year for this talented beauty. In the land of TV, Aliyah appeared on the ShowCase and Syfy science fiction show 'Continuum' starring Rachel Nichols and Victor Webster, she sported fish nets and attitude for an edgy role in a new Indie TV series titled 'School of Fish' and she Guest Starred in the season finale of 'Motive' which airs on CTV in Canada and ABC in the US. In between Aliyah was delighted to play in various Indie projects including Preggoland, starring Sonia Bennet (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Where the Truth Lies), James Caan (Godfather, Misery) and Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn, Sons of Anarchy), The Starlight Heist, a fun 1940's mob movie, and Citizen Jane, a poignant short film highlighting the mistreatment of homosexuals in the military. Aliyah was particularly proud to be a part of Citizen Jane as an advocate for human rights and building compassion in the world.

In addition to the above, Aliyah also had a blast in 2014 working on several big features including Paramount's new Monster Trucks movie, 'Formula M' where Aliyah worked opposite actors Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation, Californication, West Wing), and Thomas Lennon (Night at the Museum, Transformers), as well as the Warner Bros. feature 'If I Stay' starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass, Hugo, Dark Shadows), and she just finished working opposite Hugh Laurie in the newly anticipated Disney feature 'Tomorrowland', starring George Clooney.

Aliyah also had a 4 episode recurring role on A&E's 'Bates Motel' with Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, Departed) and Nestor Carbonell (The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises).

In 2012, Aliyah starred in 'Maximum Conviction' opposite Steven Seagal and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Aliyah is quite possibly the only woman to ever lay a smack-down on Stone Cold Steve Austin. This self proclaimed adrenaline junkie loves doing her own stunts whenever possible and loves to get physical.

Some of Aliyah's other credits in film and television include her lead role on CBC's 'Men with Brooms', 'Sanctuary', ' Smallville', 'Supernatural', 'A Killer Among Us', 'Bringing Ashley Home', 'Psych', 'Eureka', 'Ex's and Oh's', among many others.

Beyond the world of entertainment, Aliyah is passionate about personal development and hopes to one day inspire others to move through the world with heightened love, joy, playfulness and compassion for one another… Maybe that's why she's listed Killer Lawn Mower and Deadly Air Guitar as two of her special skills on her acting resume.
